Vågslid is a nice place for hiking, fishing and hunting. There are also serveral bike oppurtunities in the area. A unique location, protected by Haukelifjells amazing mountain chains, but at the same time close to the giant Hardangervidda National Park.

In the summertime it can still be snow some places here in Haukelifjell and some Norwegians like to go cross country skiing late in may-early june.

Fishing in Vågslid:
Fishing in Vågslid is great and there are lots of different lakes and rivers to try your luck in. The fish is big and have a nice red color. You can buy a fishing card at Arbuvollen Kiosk in Vågslid. There you can also buy some fishing equipment.

Summit hiking:
Here in Vågslid you can choose between many different peaks to hike on. Some of them are only 1 hour from Vågslid and are not demanding trips. The view from the peaks are beautyful and unik. If you go to Vesle Nup you can see The Hardagervidda Plateau.
