60 fantastic fishing lakes
It is possibility for mountain trout fishing in Kjelavassdraget which passes the small mountain village Vågslid, where nice lakes are located like pearls on a chain. But you can also choose between some small lakes that are located in a higher level on both sides of the valley.Totally more than 60 fishing lakes are located in an area of 6000 hectares, is what you can choose between, with a fishing license. This is a great opportunity to feel the nature and enjoy the silence. You simply have to come and try it out!

Whether you fish with a spoon bait, spinner, fly or worms, you will always find a place where the conditions are ideal! For people who like fishing for char on the ice, the large lakes are a source of extra food and enjoyment all winter.
In springtime, the fishing is particularly good after the ice breaks up, i.e. early in June. Higher up in the mountains the ice will usually remain until around 20 June and often later. There is also a good fishing season from July through to the end of September.
